As I arrived at the church in Schuyler the morning of Scott and Kayla’s wedding I was greeted by Scott’s mom, Kelley. She warmly welcomed me and showed me around and told me a little about their family and the special bond she had with her sister. Little did she know, she set the stage for the whole day for me. My heart was overflowing for Scott and Kayla, I couldn’t wait for them to arrive to start to photographing these precious memories. Memories for them, their parents, their friends, and future family. Each of the key moments were filled with both laughter and emotion…the stuff that makes me tear up behind the camera. There is nothing more special than when a couple stops caring about the ‘production’ of the wedding day and is solely focused on one another and the excitement of becoming husband and wife. The Kohler’s wedding in Schuyler was beautifully planned and Kayla’s vision came to live. They had cranberry bridesmaid dresses pair with bold, yellow sunflower bouquets. Pops of greenery around the reception and within the florals. The girls in the wedding party were so helpful! They were willing to do anything it took to help Kayla and Scott. Fun fact also, all the the groomsmen and ushers went to high school together. You don’t see a group of friends stay in touch like that often. So needless to say, the guys were a riot! So fun to work with! Keep scrolling to see them become Mr & Mrs!
